Arson Investigations
Russellville Police and the Russellville Fire Department are investigating three fires that occurred at 10:00 PM on Monday 12-01-2003 at the rear of the Family Bowling Center and Houchens' Market in the Logan Square Shopping Center on North Main Street in Russellville. The three intentionally set fires destroyed property in excess of $1,000.00.
Russellville Police is investigating a series of business and residential burglaries that occurred during the month of November
Dr. Pataks' office on Nashville Road, The Family Health Center and Logan Pain Management on Nashville Road, The Logan County Health Department on Franklin Street, Dr. Clark DDS Office on East Fourth Street, Maple Grove BP on West 9th Street, Appling Hi-Fi installation shop on North Main Street and residences on Tyler, Center, Lincoln, East 1st, Crittenden Circle and Stuart Avenue. The target items for theft in these burglaries have been cash and jewelry items. Most entries have been made by pry bar or physical force on the doors of the businesses and residences. Most of the residential burglaries have occurred during the daytime while the business burglaries have occurred during the night.
Logan County Sheriff Department Case 03-295
Logan County Sheriff Investigators are investigating the forcible entry burglary of the Southern States Fertilizer Plant at 4020 Bowling Green Road. This burglary occurred around 7:30 PM on Tuesday September 2nd 2003. The target of this theft was an undisclosed amount of cash from the business safe.
Logan County Sheriff Department Case 2003-21734
Logan County Sheriff Investigators are investigating the forcible entry burglary of the USA Rentals at 244 HW Brown Road in Russellville. This burglary occurred during the late night hours of Sunday September 7th or early morning hours of Monday September 8th 2003. The target of this burglary was the business safe which was successfully entered and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Investigators believe that a considerable of time was spent inside this business by the perpetrators in their forcible entry of the business safe.
Russellville Police Case Number 2003-21575
Russellville Police seeks your assistance in their investigation of the Burglary of a Pro Fab Metal at 139 Franklin Road in Russellville. The burglary is alleged to have been conducted during the late night hours of Friday September 5th or early morning hours of Saturday September 6th 200. A safe at the business was the target of interest for theft, however; their attempt to forcefully enter the safe was unsuccessful. Investigators believe that the perpetrator's spent a considerable time in the business in their attempt to forcefully enter the safe.

Logan County Sheriff Investigators are investigating the forcible entry burglary of Southern Outdoor Furniture at 45 Montgomery Exit in Auburn, Kentucky. This burglary occurred during the late night hours of Friday August 29th or early morning hours of Saturday August 30th 2003. The target of interest in the burglary was an undisclosed amount of cash that was taken from the business cash register.

Logan County Sheriff Investigators are investigating the forcible entry burglary of Stark Truss Company at 120 Don Harris Road in Auburn, Kentucky. This burglary occurred on the afternoon of Saturday August 16th 2003. The target of interest in the burglary was an undisclosed amount of cash that was taken from the business cash drawer.

The burglar attempted entry into the main store area by cutting through the buildings exterior in the rear of the store. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 PM on Sunday March 02, 2003.

Reported theft of a John Deere six wheeled Gator valued at $8639.00. Theft occurred 02-15/16-2003 from Hudson Agriculture at 250 Shelton Lane in Russellville. The Gator is green in color with yellow trim.
Russellville Police Case Number 2003-003452
Russellville Police seeks your assistance in their investigation of the Burglary of Walden Tire on Bethel Street in Russellville. The entry was made on February 14th 2003 by breaking a bay door glass. The theft of various items resulted in the burglary including cash, documents, and a pistol gripped combat type pump shotgun.
Russellville Police also request your assistance in their burglar investigation of Bethel Cleaners in Bethel Shopping Center, which, also, occurred on February 14th 2003. Breaking a window on the west side of the business allowed the entry. A variety of coinage was taken including charitable organizations coin jars.
Russellville Police Case 2003-2939
Reported theft of automotive equipment from a red Honda Civic FX, which was parked at Russellville Sonic Drive In on Friday February 7th 2003. A U.S. Serviceman had parked the vehicle at the location for a short time period Friday night, returning to find his passenger side window broken and more than $1000.00 in property stolen from his vehicle. An Alpine Television, tachometer and shift light were stolen. This occurred during business hours prior to 8:00 PM and all stolen items were his Christmas presents, given to him by family
