10000 block Nashville Road near Adairville.
Owner found rear door forced open, several thousand dollars in womens jewelry stolen consisting of diamond bracelet, diamond and ruby rings, and necklaces. Antique heirloom jewelry also taken.

Burglary 2nd Degree
11-07-2007 Wednesday
3000 block Nashville Road near Russellville.
Alarm call at residence, officers found rear door forced ajar which activated alarm stopping burglar from entry. Door damage only-No stolen property.

Logan County Sheriff Case 07-154
Logan Deputies are investigating the July 15 burglary of the Emmanuel Apostolic Church at 1111 Prices Mill Road. The burglary was perpetrated between the hours of 11:30 am and 5:00 pm on Sunday. The stolen property taken in this burglary was valued at more than twenty two hundred dollars and consisted of currency, Peavy and Washburn electronic musical instruments (guitars).

Logan County Sheriff Case 07-143
Logan Deputies are investigating the July 4 burglary of the newly constructed residence of Jeff Cornelius at 976 Greenridge Spa Road in the Lewisburg area of Logan County. The perpetrators entered the residence and removed approximately $1500.00 worth of power and hand tools consisting of Bostich, Dewalt, Craftsman, and Black and Decker brands. On a following date, perpetrators returned and removed various levels, bits, and pry bars. These thefts have also been occurring at other new construction sites in Logan, Todd, and Muhlenberg counties.

Logan County Sheriff’s Department Cases: Mailbox and waste container vandalisms:
In recent weeks, Sheriff Deputies have received and investigated many reports of destruction of mailboxes and vandalism of waste containers in the North Logan County area both east and west of US 431. Some of the roadways include Homer Road, Forgy Road, Duncan Chapel, Spa Road, Deerlick Road and Helstley Road. This vandalism has resulted in property loss of hundreds of dollars. The vandalism in usually committed after midnight hours. Anyone with information is encouraged to report this type of vandalism by calling Central Communications at 911 or 726-4911 and reporting the description of the autos involved. A reward is available in these cases with information that will lead to the arrest of the offenders.

Logan County Sheriffs Case
CASE: 07-091
Sheriff Detectives are investigating the theft of approximately $3000.00 worth of household items stolen in a 05-19/20-2007 burglary on Center Road in the Lewisburg area of Logan County. Stolen were TV sets, video and DVD players, wooden kitchen table and four chairs, microwave oven, Pioneer stereo, four interior decorator pictures, and various CDs.

Logan County Sheriff Department Case 07-085
Burglary and Theft
Logan Sheriff Detectives are investigating the burglary of the Coon Range Fish and Game Clubhouse on Coon Range Lane in Lewisburg, Kentucky. Unlawful entry was made into the building between 05-12/14-2007 and items valued at less than $300.00 was unlawfully removed.

LOGAN COUNTY SHERIFF CASE 07-060
Sheriff Detectives are investigating the burning of shrubbery that occurred in latter March 2007 and the malicious removal and destruction of a mid 1800’s stone pillar in the 100 block of Keysburg-Adams Road in Logan County that occurred on Saturday night March 31, 2007.

Copper and Aluminum Thefts
The Logan County Sheriffs Department is investigating many cases of copper and aluminum thefts in Logan County resulting in several thousands of dollars losses. Unattended buildings including barns, new construction sites, and vacant homes have been targeted by the thieves, as well as scrap yards storing these materials. Electrical wiring, copper plumbing lines, air conditioner units, aluminum siding and house trim, aluminum gutter, windows and doors have been stolen in Logan and throughout south central Kentucky.

Nationally these thefts are at epidemic proportions resulting in agriculture losses in several states where wind mills, well wiring and irrigation equipment has been stolen. Little or no information is usually taken from the seller by the buyer of these materials further making it quite difficult for law enforcement to apprehend the perpetrators.

Logan County Sheriff Case 07-044
Logan Sheriff Detectives are investigating the theft of a tan Sentry lockbox taken from the M & M Pallet company on Cates ByPass Road in Russellville on Friday March 9, 2007. The lockbox contained cash, a Silver Dime Collection, one diamond tennis bracelet, a 1821 Silver Dollar, a 1810 fifty cent piece, a charm with name KIM on it, and other assorted jewelry. Total theft valued at $2600.00.

Logan County Sheriff Case 07-018
Theft over $300
500 feet of one and one eight inch of coated copper wire and 500 feet of three eight inch coated copper wire from construction site at Dripping Springs Baptist Church at 4145 Watermelon Road. Theft occurred during weekend of 01-27/29-2007.
Value of the stolen copper wire is approximately $2400.00.
