January 28th 2014 2159 Chandlers Road. A residence located at this address was entered by unknown suspects between 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Suspects removed a Rossi .357 Magnum pistol, a PSE brand compound bow, several boxes of ammunition (.22, .38, .357 and 12 gauge shotgun shells) and over 100 Case knives.

On Saturday, December 28, 2013, the body of Delaine “Brad” Rigney was discovered in his home at 524 Rhea Blvd. in Russellville, KY. Mr. Rigney suffered blunt force trauma to the head. It is believed that Mr. Rigney knew his attacker and that this incident was not a random act of violence.

The Russellville Police Department is asking for any information regarding suspicious vehicles or people in the area on December 27th and 28th. Those who knew Mr. Rigney personally are also urged to contact investigators with any details or insight they may have.

Sometime in the first two weeks of June 2013, unknown persons entered a crop field on Conn Road. Suspects removed sections of # 10 Copper wire from a center pivot irrigation system. These sections of wire were uniform in length and contained 12-14 strand copper wire.

Unknown person(s) have burglarized several Russellville businesses in the past few weeks. The method of entry is breaking the front glass window of the store. On Monday, April 29th, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., two African American males in a blue early 2000's model Ford pick-up truck with an attached trailer stopped at a residence on Walnut Street in Auburn, KY and stole nine "I-beams" made of iron. All of the "I-beams" were approximately 18-20 feet in length and 4-6 inches in width. They were estimated to cost approximately $2000 total. The suspects were seen by a witness who described them in the following manner: 1. One was younger with light skin and tall. 2. The other was shorter with darker skin and facial hair. The owner of the property is offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. Crimestoppers is also offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators. On Friday, April 12th, 2013 between the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm three 3D bow hunting targets were stolen out of a residential yard in The Greens subdivision. The targets were described as one bear, one turkey, and one deer. If anyone knows any information that could assist in the recovery of the stolen property or identification of the suspects responsible for this crime, you could receive a monetary reward.

February 19th & 20th 2013 Unknown persons entered the property at 700 Canyon Run Road ( Lake Malone area) and stole the following: a 1984 Ford F-250 white pick-up truck. This was an “old work truck” with a utility bed instead of the standard bed. The truck also had a “homemade” head rack on the bed. Along with the truck several tools boxes were taken that contained miscellaneous oil field tools. Also stolen were various electric motors and pistons from a D- 9 Caterpillar engine.

Friday November 16th 2012, approximately 3:00 AM Conn Road Adairville KY. The residence of migrant farm workers, unknown suspects tried to enter the residence. These suspect(s) then fired four shots, possibly from a pistol, and then stole a 2004 Ford 150 4 door truck. The truck is maroon in color and bears KY plate 5897CG.

On August 29th, 2012 in the late evening hours, a residence on East 4th Street was burglarized and mutliple items were stolen. Items stolen were described as followed: 22 Caliber Ruger Rifle with a dark wood stain and Tasco scope; a green and black camoflauge compound bow, with illuminated sights, peep hole, and no quiver; a Clearwater compound bow, powermag model, tan camoflauge with tree bark print, has an over draw, and no sights; a Bear compound bow, black in color, with no sights; a knife with a 3D mold of an eagle with deer on the handle; a silver Zippo lighter contained in a leather belt case; and a Tasco, handheld, spotter scope.

On Thursday, August 16, 2012, a burglary was reported at 426 N. Spring Street in Russellville. The victim alleges that, between the hours of 2 PM and 9 PM, someone entered the residence through an unlocked door on the south side of the house. The perpetrator allegedly took nearly 100 prescription pills from the home while the resident slept.

On 08-02-2012 at around 0900 hours the Logan County Sheriff's Department responded to a theft call at the 3400 block of Cave Springs Road. The theft occurred at a barn belonging to Robert Ezell of Auburn, KY. Sometime between 7:30 PM on 08-01-2012 and 08:30 am on 08-02-2012 the suspects cut a chain to the main gate that enters the driveway to the barn. The suspects then drove up to the barn in a pick-up truck and went inside. While inside the suspects stole several items including a Dewalt Miter Saw worth $1000, a weedeater, a leafblower, a Skil chainsaw, a Craftsman cordless drill, a portable 5000 watt generator, and a Ted Williams 12 Gauge shotgun. On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, a burglary was reported at 463 E. Sixth Street. The residence was unoccupied a time of burglary. Entry was forced into the residence through the rear door open. Stolen property includes an electric hot water heater and two natural gas heaters. The burglary occurred between June 15th and July 31st.

In the late night hours of June 6th 2012, South High Street in Adairville KY, a home invasion occurred. Unknown suspects entered the residence and subdued the occupants. During the late night hours of 05-14-2012 or the early morning hours of 05-15-2012 a person or persons set fire to the old "Oldham's Tennessee Price Sausage Plant" located in Adairville, Ky. This arson is being investigated by the Logan County Sheriff's Department and the Kentucky State Fire Marshall's office. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime. On 02-12-2012 an unknown person (s) shot out one of the new windows of the Electric Plant Board using what is believed to be either a sling shot or a gun using CO2 gas. The window had three holes total, destroying the window. Upon investigating the incident, a clear marble was found outside on the road in front of EPB. The Russellville Police Department is investigating a total of 9 similar cases involving criminal mishief where windowns had been shot out with clear marbles. On 04-26-2012, Russellville Police Department responded to 926 Brookhaven Drive in reference to a stolen ATV. The ATV was taken between 2300 hours on 04-25-2012 and 0700 hours on 04-26-2012 from the rear of the residence. The ATV is described as a 2001 Honda 400EX, white with white and black seat and nerf bars. It is a racing type ATV valued at $1000.00. The Russellville Police Department responded to a reports of thefts at Ledbetter Auto Sales, Joe Dan's Pool Hall, and Killer Designs Tattoos on the Emerson Bypass in Russellville. Sometime between 11:30 p.m. on April 24th and 11: a.m. on April 25th the culprit(s) disabled and stole the air conditioner units from behind these businesses. In the late night hours after 10:00 PM Monday April 25th 2012 suspects stole a New Holland Brand skid steer, from the Gospel Lighthouse Church. Located at 659 Cates By-Pass Russellville KY. The skid steer was parked in the church parking lot overnight. It belonged to a member who was donating work to the church. On 03-03-2012, Dave's Pawn Shop was burglarized sometime between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 1:15 a.m. the following day. Perpetrator(s) entered through a shattered window on the side of the building. On 02-15-2012 the Russellville Police Department responded to a theft of property call at MHM Metals, located at 1500 W 9th Street. John Pugh, who works for MHM Metals, reported someone entered the property and removed some copper wiring from the breaker box inside the factory. On 12-24-2011 at 0015 hours a Theft and Criminal Mischief occurred at Piggly Wiggly in Bethel Shopping Center. The suspect damaged 5 soda machines by hitting the doors with a sledge hammer. The estimated theft and damage to the machines is $1200. The suspect vehicle is described as a late model Ford pickup, red, crew cab, 4-wheel drive, dually with cab lights on top and black bedliner. The suspect is described as a white male, medium height and weight, wearing jeans and black t-shirt with design on front. The vehicle was observed on security video traveling from Hopkinsville Road entering the Bethel Shopping Center and leaving traveling west on Hopkinsville Road after the theft. Case #: KSP 03-11-845 (Post #3 Bowling Green)

Synopsis: On Wednesday December 28th 2011, the Kentucky State Police responded to 102 North Main Street Adairville KY, Trimbles Service Center, in reference to a burglary complaint.
During the previous night (sometime after 6:00 PM 12-27-11) unknown persons entered the service center and removed the following items:

Several sets of Snap On brand sockets and end wrenches. Several Snap On (and other brands) of impact drivers.
Snap On brand vehicle diagnostic computer
Over one dozen new tires, some with rims attached

From the parking lot, a 2000 red Ford F-150 Pick-up truck bearing Tennessee license plate.
The total loss occurred from the burglary is in excess of $30,000.

Synopsis: Monday December 19th 2011, the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a theft complaint on Greenridge Spa Road off Highlandlick Road . An Arctic Cat, model 500 4 Wheeler was stolen in conjunction with a 14 foot single axle trailer, which was used to transport the 4 wheeler. The 4 wheeler was green in color, with a Covert Scouting Camera sticker on one fender, and a Mojo outdoors sticker on another fender.
The stolen trailer was black in color, 14 feet in length and 5 feet wide, with only one axle. The trailer also had a spare tire mounted on the tongue of the trailer.

On November 25, 2011 at 1551 hours, the Russellville Police Department responded to 706 Nashville Road in reference to a home invasion complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Beverly Young. Ms. Young resides at 706 Nashville. Ms. Young stated she was walking out the back door of her home when she saw an unknown male standing in her back room. Ms. Young and the suspect exchanged words and the suspect took her purse off her arm as well as going into her pocket and stealing some cash. Ms. Young and two witnesses described the suspect as a black male, tall, thin build, wearing a green jacket, white flat billed hat, white tennis shoes and blue jeans. The suspect fled on foot behind the house and possibly got into a tan Chevrolet Blazer. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers at (270)726-5050.

On 10-26-2011 the Russellville Police Department responded to Russellville Transmission, off of Sarah Lane, in reference to a theft of property complaint. THe unknown perpetrator(s) cut five catalytic converters from underneath five vehicles that were parked in the lot. The perpetrator(s) used a sawsall blade to cut the converters off. The theft occurred between the evening hours of October 25th and the early morning hours of October 26th. A similar incident occurred at Young's Funeral Home on the same date. On August the 8th 2011, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff Department responded to a burglary complaint. The Armstrong residence located at 130 New Armstrong Road, near Lewisburg was broken into, between 4:00 Pm and 6:00 PM. Unknown suspects entered the home and removed a large amount of cash and a bill bottle containing pain medication. Over 6,000.00 in 100 dollar bill denominations were taken. The suspects left the home on foot and fled into the woods near the home.

Sometime between July 1st (Friday after 9:00 a.m.) and July 3rd (Sunday morning prior to 11:00) unknown person(s) took a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle from the residence located at 1752 Lewisburg Road. Burglary
On June 12th, 2011 at approximately 7:28 a.m., a burglary alarm went off at Whitley's Pharmacy. When officers arrived the front glass door had been busted out. When the owner arrived, it was found that over 4000 Hydrocodone pills were taken from the business. The suspect is described as around 6 feet tall, 180-200 lbs, dressed in all dark clothing with a black bandana/white designs around his face. After the crime was committed, the person left the scene on a 20-24 inch mountain bike and headed toward E 1st Street. On February 16, 2011 it was reported to the Logan County Sheriff's Department of a theft of iron fencing that encloses the Old Hall Cemetery on Chandlers Road. The theft occurred around December 2010 or January 2011. Unknown subjects removed over 30 panels of iron fencing. Each panel was 10 feet long and 3 1/2 feet tall. The total weight of the fencing is estimated at or over 1 ton of iron.
